    Colonel Jeremiah O’Brien was my Great Great Great Grandfather. Historical biographies say “he had no issue”, but that’s untrue. He had no issue by his wife Elizabeth (née Fitzpatrick) O’Brien. But he did have an illegitimate child named Lydia Whitney, by his housekeeper Thankful Whitney who later married Isaac Meader of Freedom, Maine.
